Read full description of the books:

Strong volume that begins in the wake of Vegeta and Goku's fight. It was actually nice to have a bit of a slow down here, and a break from the fighting. Toriyama's manga moves very quickly compared to the show (which had lots and lots of filler so as not to overtake the manga) and while that is absolutely a good thing it can also be nice to slow down for a minute now and again.

Bulma, Kuririn, and Gohan's travels to Namek were a joy to watch, as it reminded me of Bulma, Kuririn, and Goku's travels when they were all much younger. Speaking of Namek, Toryiama expands the world of DBZ once again with the introduction of Namek and the fighting force loyal to Freeza (which up until very recently included Vegeta). Freeza is perhaps the most iconic villain in Dragon Ball Z, and I was excited to see him show up.

It is difficult to pin point the source of Toriyama's artwork inspiration. He admires Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy and was impressed by Walt Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, which he remembers for the great art.
